The Mad Rockers are a team representing Bob Jones High School and James Clemens High School in Madison, AL. Our team works to implement the critical thinking and engineering skills required to be successful in the fields of science, engineering, and technology. With the help of our generous sponsors, caring mentors, encouraging schools, and eager students, we hope to spread the values of FIRST and BEST within our community.
Teams
Mechanical
The mechanical team is responsible for design, prototyping, building, and testing the robot. We deal with tackling the game head on and figuring out a way to succeed.
Software
Without software, the robot would be just a toaster. On this team, we think of new, innovative ways to make the robot move and do tasks.
Electrical
Electricity is pretty cool. We can't live without it. The electrical team works on power distribution, understanding how the robot functions on a fundamental level, and making sure the various sensors and functions are layed out well.
Marketing
We work behind the scenes, helping the team to connect with mentors and find sponsors. Because of us, our team is able to grow year after year and broaden our influence in our community.
